Viru Keskus opened its doors to visitors on April 15, 2004. It was thoroughly renovated in 2014 along with an upgrade of the brand portfolio and has now launched the greatest renovations in its history to give a new face and content to the centre. There are over a hundred shops and service points in Viru Keskus. International fashion brands and retail concepts are represented in Viru Keskus, like Massimo Dutti, Marella, Zara, Mango, Marc O`Polo, American Vintage, Pinko, Karl Lagerfeld, Armani Exchange, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein Jeans, adidas Original, Nike, Under Armour, Sportland and many others. Customers can also find the three most important Kaubamaja departments in Viru Keskus: Ilumaailm (beauty department), Naistemaailm ( women’s fashion department), and Toidumaailm (grocery store).
In addition to high-quality fashion, Viru Keskus hosts the bookshop that was awarded the title of the best in the world, high-quality perfume boutiques Crème de la Crème, Jo Malone, jewelry shops Goldtime, K.U.L.D, Kuldan, Grenardi and Given by Grenardi, that together with the Kaubamaja Ilumaailm (beauty department) create the largest beauty and jewelry area in Estonia. Beauty fans are also most welcome to visit Ilusfäär – a whole IV floor dedicated to beauty services.
Along with the health clinics in Ilusfäär there is the most innovative Apotheka pharmacy in Baltic countries, and MyFitness health club over the V and VI floors to take care of physical and mental health.
Taste experiences are offered in Viru Keskus by the 15 restaurants and cafes of the Food Hall concept unique in Estonia, and Cafe Literaat in the III floor Rahva Raamat bookshop.
Viru Keskus offers services of a tailor, shoemaker, goldsmith, mobile phone repair shop, and several beauty and health services both separately and in shops.
Viru Keskus has always been more than a shopping centre by offering high-quality cultural events to its visitors. It has always been our priority to support culture even during difficult times.
It is convenient to visit us. On the third and fourth floor of the centre there is a car park for 395 vehicles with the most favourable rates in the city centre and the largest electric car charging area Viru Vooluring. There are parking and charging areas for bicycles and scooters next to all the entrances of Viru Keskus. There is a bus terminal under the centre building with a convenient waiting area that belongs to the Tallinn Transport Department. It is the starting point of all the most important bus lines. Viru Keskus is visited by nearly 15 million visitors in a year and thus it is the most effective shopping centre in the Baltic countries and Finland.
In the autumn of 2019 and again in the autumn of 2022 Viru Keskus was awarded the only platinum level LEED O&M (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certificates in Estonia for the operation and management of an existing building. This was preceded by the LEED O&M silver certificate in 2015. Opening the centre brought Viru Keskus the title of the best development project of the year in 2004 and in 2006 Viru Keskus was awarded the titles of Aasta Kaubandustegu (Commercial Initiative of the year) and Aasta Teenindustegu (Service Initiative of the year). Viru Keskus has also won more than 50 awards for marketing and communication activities in various advertising and creative competitions.
