Winner of the 2025 Jaan Kross Literary Award, writer, choreographer, and—by her own admission—a professional foodie, Sveta Grigorjeva picked her top spots from Viru Food Hall.
Sveta chose to try out our newest addition: Meie Gruusia. While Georgian cuisine is known for its meat-centric dishes, even meat-free Sveta found plenty to love on the menu.
Her favourites included:
– Cheese-filled khinkali, perfectly paired with homemade adjika and sour cream.
– Badridzhani – rolled eggplant with walnuts, garlic, and herbs.
– Adjarian khachapuri – the iconic boat-shaped Georgian bread filled with gooey cheese and topped with an egg.
When it came to dessert, Sveta turned to Paper Mill Coffee, where she was tempted by the apple & cardamom bun, monkey bread, and a smooth espresso macchiato.
According to Sveta, this kind of flavourful and rich food collaboration is “the best collab I’ve ever had.”
