Reopening of Marella flagship store

20.09.2024

Marella, a brand that offers glamorous, contemporary, and easy-to-wear fashion as part of the Max Mara Fashion Group, has completely redesigned its physical store. The store now features a warm and welcoming environment, with an expanded area of 180 square meters, offering a wider range of clothing, accessories, and footwear.

Everyday tailoring is the key concept behind the Marella Autumn-Winter 2024 collection: a proposal that speaks of an on the move femininity and translates into a wardrobe of essential garments and new silhouettes, with a style that finds its unicity in layering. A collection in which to move freely and independently: impeccable and informal officewear, tailored and on-duty casualwear, and unpretentious elegance. A mood that translates into the blazer, proposed in colours, materials and silhouettes that explore the infinite potential of such a timeless garment. A hero piece, the blazer celebrates the magnetism of the Marella woman, especially when paired with classic lace or crêpe de chine tops and ultra-feminine light knitwear.

The suit becomes poetic in a version with all-over embroidery and micro-rose motifs, exuding a femininity that blends power dressing and romanticism. The colour palette for the collection strikes a balance between delicate, neutral tones and bold touches such as lipstick red and bright green with a posh feel.

The Marella ART. 365 AW24 collection has been renewed thanks to the study of new proportions and shapes with 90’s inspiration. The brand collaborates with artist and make-up artist Kathy Le Sant. The encounter with Marella’s creative team resulted in two all-over prints with a pop and contemporary effect and a female face created by overlapping watercolours and flowers, with a dreamy and poetic taste.. The construction of a defining capsule wardrobe is the basis of Marella Monochrome, a collection with a quiet luxury spirit that offers looks in four statement colours. The Autumn-Winter collection is the perfect balance between old money allure and sensuality: long fringes embellish masculine-fit trousers, pullovers and blouses, a hyper-feminine tribute to the saloon trend, while premium knitwear is the key to creating total looks in wool, cashmere and viscose such as the wrap-around dress. Garments come in the season’s essential palette of brown, greige and white with a single hint of colour: a decisive shade of blue with an aristocratic flavour.

The choice of fabrics confirms a focus on responsible materials such as organic cotton and recycled fibres, as well as upcycled padding such as Cameluxe and cellulose fibres from controlled forest management.

The selection of dailywear has Marella denim at its heart: in addition to jeans – in a variety of fits from tomboy to wide leg – the proposal ranges from masculine garments, such as the man shirt, and new interpretations of the classic canvas, including a belted dress with a semi-close fit and a structured bustier with a sweetheart neckline. More than a mere fabric, denim becomes a seasonal nuance with which to construct total looks, radiating a cool and carefree attitude interpreted for the second time by singer and artist Patricia Manfield @heir, immortalised in a series of candid shots that depict a day in her life in Los Angeles.

The leather effect, this season’s must-have, is also present in the collection in a wide range of models, from outerwear to flared trousers, whether in suede or soft nappa, textured or coated jersey. An extensive and well-structured chapter is dedicated to Marella outerwear, a staple of the seasonal wardrobe, both as a transitional piece and an ally in the colder months. The autumn selection offers a versatile mix of lengths and weights, from bomber jackets with an urban flavour to trench coats in both classic full-length and contemporary short versions. The winter piece par excellence, the coat, is found in a vast range of nuances, silhouettes and fabrics, including iconic models – such as a long coat in pure virgin wool beaver and the cocooning silhouette with maxicollar – and new interpretations, including the duffle coat with frog fasteners and hood, and the double-breasted coat with special patches.

The knitwear selection is refined, comfortable and never predictable: oversized or wrap-around fits, soft fabrics embellished with sequins, fringes and lurex yarns.
