“A song called Mother. That beauty, pain, love, fear — it’s all in that piece.”

Karmen Rõivassepp, an Estonian jazz singer and composer, is considered one of the brightest jazz talents in Europe.
She leads a quartet under her own name. The joint album Ambivalence by Rõivassepp and the Aarhus Jazz Orchestra won the Jazz Album of the Year at the 2023 Estonian Music Awards.
In addition, Rõivassepp was named Jazz Composer of the Year in both Estonia and Denmark in 2023, and Jazz Musician of the Year in Estonia in 2024.

Erki Pärnoja is an Estonian guitarist and composer known for his dreamy, atmospheric instrumental music. In his solo projects, such as the albums Efterglow and Leva, influences from indie rock, ambient, and film music blend together to create captivating soundscapes.
At the 2025 edition of Jazzkaar, Erki Pärnoja will help bring to the audience a collection of compositions by his friend, Swedish composer and bassist Patrik Grundström.
