Entertainment site PARK’la was opened on May 27 on the rooftop terrace of Viru Keskus. It has an innovative concept of providing fun sports and leisure activities while offering also delicious food and drinks. One of the most extreme attractions of the site is the human slingshot providing a view of the Tallinn old town during the adrenaline-pumping flight.
According to the founder of PARK’la Mr. Siim Tukk the idea to open a leisure centre that provides various sports and group entertainment activities came to him while travelling abroad. “Summer is very brief in Estonia and you should enjoy any sunny days outdoors as much as possible,” said Mr. Tukk. “This is the largest outdoor terrace in the most central position in the city and here we have collected a large number of exciting features that you can use to have fun on your own or with friends and family.”
According to the founder of PARK’la Mr. Siim Tukk safe entertainment is now more important than ever before and the rooftop terrace of Viru Keskus provides an excellent opportunity for that in the very heart of the city. “In addition to fun attractions one can also set up a mobile office in our spaces. We have installed laptop charging devices next to the tables. Park’la is your homeoffice in the city centre, where you can work, eat and entertain yourself.”
This year the most adrenaline-rich attraction of PARK’la is the human slingshot that launches interested visitors 33 metres high to glimpse a breathtaking view on Tallinn old town. This is certainly an experience that offers lots of positive emotions and will be remembered for a long time.
Top chef Joonas Koppel is responsible for the food offered in the entertainment park. He describes the Jounz Viru concept created specifically for Viru Keskus as follows: “This summer we will offer our visitors brand new and also more familiar taste experiences inspired by various locations in the world, like Asia or Mexico.
Food can be enjoyed in the simpler street food style or served elegantly like in a restaurant. The best tastes and final touches are added to the dishes by long-term colleagues with a positive attitude, who have been working side by side in various top restaurants before.
We love what we do and do what we love!”
Joonas Koppel has quite a few secret recipes in store and he is determined to change the menu offerings every couple of weeks to keep even daily visitors thrilled.
PARK’la is open on Viru Keskus’ 4th floor rooftop area Mon-Sun from noon to 10 p.m. and it will be open until September. You can enter PARK’la through the 4th floor Rahva Raamat bookshop, the hallway at Estonia Avenue or the car park of Viru Keskus.
