ARKET opens its first store in Viru Keskus

17.05.2023

Stockholm-based lifestyle brand ARKET is opening its first physical store in Estonia on 19 May 2023. Located in the Viru Keskus shopping centre in central Tallinn, the new store will be a modern-day market offering essential products for men, women, children, and the home, as well as a Nordic-inspired vegetarian café.

With a total area of 811 square metres, the store combines the brand’s monochrome palette of soft greys with natural materials such as solid oak and custom-made terrazzo flooring. The store is located on the first floor of Viru Keskus, which was newly refurbished by renowned Swedish architecture firm Wingårdhs.

‘We are very happy to finally launch ARKET in Tallinn and look forward to meeting our Estonian customers face-to-face. Marking our first presence in the Baltic region, it is a beautiful store with fashion, food and interior design gathered under one roof’, says Pernilla Wohlfahrt, ARKET Managing Director.

The new Tallinn store will showcase the brand’s full concept with collections curated to simplify good choices and provide inspiration for a more beautiful everyday life.

ARKET café is the homely heart of the brand’s modern-day market. Developed by acclaimed Swedish chef Martin Berg, the café serves a vegetarian menu of green meals, sandwiches, and pastries, as well as hot and cold beverages. Seasonal ingredients and traditional Scandinavian flavours are mixed with influences from around the world.

Launched in 2017, ARKET is based on the concepts of sustainable design and everyday beauty. The core ideas are rooted in the Nordic modernist movement of the 20th century which bridged the worlds of arts, crafts and functional form to produce affordable and accessible items for everyday use.

Store will be ope to public on Friday 19th of May at 12 a.m.
