42 INNOVATIVE FREE SMART BICYCLE RACKS WERE INSTALLED IN TALLINN CENTRE
Starting from this week there are 42 smart bicycle racks with the state-of-the-art technology around Viru Keskus. The solutions created by Bikeep have been present around the centre before in a smaller scale, but the new smart racks have new and even more convenient locks as well as enhanced security. Free bicycle parking is available by using the Bikeep mobile app, the Tallinn Joint Card or majority of the contactless smart bank cards.
Viru Keskus initiated the installation of the new brightly coloured bicycle parks and they are located both at the side of Estonia Avenue and Laikmaa Street.
According to Oliver Nuut, Estonian regional manager of Bikeep, the new parks are more secure and they are also more convenient for the users. “We have recently completed the development of our mobile app that makes parking your bicycle amazingly easy. Free parking is also available by using the Tallinn Joint Card and majority of the contactless smart bank cards,” commented Nuut.
He said that it is important to pay more attention to the bikers moving in the city space and to create safe and user-friendly parking options for bicycle users.
“In cooperation with Viru Keskus we have installed such a large number of smart parking racks around the centre that no other centre can match. We are honoured that Viru Keskus has trusted us ever since we first launched our product as well as by now, we have installed a considerable number of bicycle racks with the state-of-the-art technology that should further simplify the use of bicycles, moving and shopping in the centre,” Oliver Nuut added.
Bikeep stands for simplifying bicycle parking by offering a complete solution to municipalities, shopping centres, office buildings and real-estate owners. The mission of Bikeep is to provide safer bicycle parking solutions and to advocate bicycle use.
